Hi Everybody,
I have a 32.wim file created by hp backup and restore software, I using wimlib-imagex.exe to extract from it, wimlib-imagex.exe fails:
Failed to decompress data! MiB (34%) done
ERROR: Exiting with error code 2:
Failed to decompress compressed data.
32.wim file size 7,447,017KB

Is anybody can help solve this problem, because email data inside this wim file and is very important.

Can you provide any more information about the WIM file? What is its compression type and chunk size (check with 'wiminfo')? Do you still get the file list if you run 'wimdir'?

If file data is actually corrupted for some reason (and it sounds like it is), then you cannot apply the full image with wimlib. However, you might be able to use 'wimextract' to extract specific non-corrupted files and directories.

You could also try applying the WIM image using Microsoft's ImageX with the /verify option to rule out a wimlib-specific problem.

there only has one file inside the wim file, it was outlook data pst file.
