NTFS volume while preserving NTFS-specific data such as
security descriptors and named data streams. Either install
libntfs-3g, or configure --without-ntfs-3g to disable this
		 feature.
errors also exist for libfuse3 even packages exist, i made sure also to run in root with sbin with `su -` access since for some reason, my user account cant use sbin and you have to state the files in sbin to continue (looking at iwlwifi setup using /usr/sbin/modprobe during debian 11 because the full install media didn't include my wifi card unlike most distros)
ive installed the apps already, feat synaptic:

can you guys help me find the issue

Make sure you have installed the libfuse3-dev and ntfs-3g-dev packages.

at this point i think i should use windows instead to rebuild win since the windows variant works fine

In that case I have no idea why it can't find the libraries, sorry. libfuse3-dev and ntfs-3g-dev have always worked on Ubuntu and Debian before. They're listed as build dependencies for wimlib's CI on Ubuntu, and for the official Debian package for wimlib.

BTW, did you consider simply installing the Debian package instead of building from source?

Code: Select all

sudo apt install wimtools
