for 6 and 7 it's useless because all files will be already compressed with lzx? Will they stay compressed when changed? Does it work for newly created files?

In the doc, it says we must add the wofadk.sys driver. Where do I get this file and how can I install it on windows 7?

Ok, I can understand. Your improvements to this tool are already awesome I'll try to get this part ported. Anyway, their are alternatives like link shell extension which can also do dedup on the fly.

Hi, It works to replace the install.wim on an installation media with the one from a --snapshot capture of a live system (without , sysprep, without booting another windows or linux) but it's not completely clean. For some reason, 2 folders ($Windows.~BT and LS) and one file WinPEpge.sys are left on...

ok, good thank you for your solution I'll test without sysprep and from windows then and report if successful. Oh and default LZX compression works for an install.wim ?

@k3dar7 so you make a snapshot with wimlib, and replace the original install.wim with the one from wimlib on the installation media ? Or is it more complicated ?
