Re: Build error (git master), with patch

Thanks, fixed now. It worked for me, I think because I was using a newer version of autoconf where AC_INIT trims extra whitespace.

Re: ESD to WIM

You can do it with a command like:

Code: Select all

wimexport foo.esd all bar.wim --compress=lzx

Re: Error : filename is not valid UTF-8

I'm afraid not, as the WIM file format stores filenames as Windows-style wide character strings (UTF-16LE, with unpaired surrogates allowed). As a result there is no way to represent a UNIX-style arbitrary byte sequence filename unless it is valid UTF-8 (with unpaired surrogates allowed). Edit: in p...

Re: Cannot build wimlib with Cygwin (on Windows)

Yes, some recent updates to MinGW seem to have broken things. I've made some changes that should fix things. Can you try the latest master branch in git? It sounds like you've cloned the git repository, so you'll just need to run 'git pull && rm config.log' before retrying the make-windows-release s...

Re: wim capture Onedrive with Files on Demand = Handle is invalid

Can you provide the actual error message you get?

And you are saying it happens with DISM too? What is the error from DISM?

Re: Cannot get the information about WinFLP.wim image

But it would be probably easy to add, right? Probably not; it would require reverse engineering the old file format, implementing support for it (probably including read-write support since people would want that too, right?), testing with an old version of Windows, and writing tests. I don't see w...

Re: Missing file wimtools.spec

I removed the Linux packaging files intentionally, since the various Linux distros now provide official packages for wimlib, and I wasn't testing the packaging files in-tree. The in-tree packaging files were really just an example, which people ended up forking when doing the actual packaging. If yo...

Re: combining --source-list and --config=

[ExclusionList] works with --source-list, so I'm not sure what went wrong for you. One caveat is that if you use an absolute path glob (one beginning with / or \ -- note, it doesn't matter which type of slash you use), it will match separately from each source directory. So for example if you have: ...

wimlib 1.13.4 released

wimlib 1.13.4 has been released. This is a maintenance release. List of changes: wimsplit now prints progress messages regularly rather than just once per WIM part. Added support for a data recovery mode which causes files to be extracted even if they are corrupted. The option is --recover-data for ...

Re: Cannot get the information about WinFLP.wim image

As far as I know, the old WIM format was only used in Vista pre-releases. This is the first time anyone has asked for it. So I don't think it's important to add support for it.
