Re: wimapply exit with error code 68

You can build wimlib with NTFS-3G support using --with-ntfs-3g. Just make sure to actually use the version of wimlib that you built, and not a different version as you seem to be doing. One way to do this is to run ./wimlib-imagex from the top of the source tree after building.

Re: wimapply exit with error code 68

It sounds like your Linux distro (which one?) didn't compile wimlib with NTFS-3G support enabled. So you need to build wimlib yourself, which you did, but I'm guessing you accidentally used the distro-provided version rather than the one you compiled. Make sure to uninstall the distro-provided versi...

wimlib 1.13.6 released

wimlib 1.13.6 has been released. List of changes: wimsplit no longer prints a success message on failure. wimlib_iterate_dir_tree() no longer hashes files that haven't yet been written to the WIM file. Re: wimlib prompts for a password

The WIM file format doesn't have native support for encryption, so this isn't possible.

Re: Replicating the effect of Compact.exe?

I don't mind if you look at this small bit of code as a reference. Note that it would probably be simpler for you to use DeviceIoControl() instead of NtFsControlFile() as wimlib does, though.

Re: Replicating the effect of Compact.exe?

You need to use FSCTL_SET_EXTERNAL_BACKING. Take a look at the code here.

Re: wimapply with raw disk file (file.img)

The NTFS-3G image application mode actually works *only* on raw partitions, not on mounted filesystems. The commands you gave only partitioned the disk, and didn't create an NTFS filesystem on it. Are you sure that you created an NTFS filesystem on it? That would require using the mkntfs program fro...

Re: status : 0xc0000225

This is expected since Microsoft's software doesn't support non-default compression chunk sizes, as described in the documentation.
